Panelists included Michael Doran, Senior Fellow, Hudson Institute; Dušan Fischer, Researcher, Slovak Foreign Policy Association; Martin Michelot, Deputy Director, EUROPEUM; and Márton Ugrósdy, Deputy Director of Strategy, Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Hungary. The speakers sought to compare different perspectives on migration from Central Europe, Eastern Europe, and the United States. Discussion focused on the problem of balancing domestic priorities with humanitarian concerns, the need for honest discussion on burden sharing within the EU, and lessons on integration that can be learned from the American experience.
